OverviewSotheby's experience in orchestrating successful auctions of important private European collections and staging country house sales is outstanding. Our international team of experts is led by Mario Tavella, Deputy Chairman, Sotheby's Europe, who manages our sales of important European single-owner collections in our salerooms, and Harry Dalmeny, Deputy Chairman, Sotheby's UK, who is responsible for overseeing Sotheby's UK on-site country house sales. Between them they possess 38 years experience in these fields. In our European salerooms we have witnessed extraordinary results for major single-owner collections. In the past year alone Sotheby's sold five major collections in our London and Paris salerooms, totalling in excess of £42 million. Our country house sales have seen similar growth.
